Hiked segment 4 of the Tahoe Rim Trail. Kingsbury Trailhead to Spooner Summit Picnic Area, with a side jaunt to the top of Genoa Peak. Beautiful day, a little warm in the afternoon.

Genoa Peak is on the Tahoe OGUL peak list.

Trailhead (beginning): From Kingsbury Grade (Nevada Hwy 207), about 0.3 miles west of Dagget Summit, turn north on No. Benjamin Dr (bigger signs are for Brautovich Park). Follow No. Benjamin Dr. until it turns into Adria Dr, then on to trailhead parking past the residential sections. 7730 ft elevation.

Trailhead (end): Spooner Summit Picnic Area, south side of US Hwy 50 at Spooner Summit (west of Carson City, east of Lake Tahoe). 7135 ft elevation.

Car shuttle: 17.2 miles, 30 minutes (map and directions)
