A 4th of July weekend excursion to three local waterfalls, in California north of Truckee.  The heavy snowpack, cool spring, and recent hotter weather has increased the mountain river and creek flows and yielded spectacular waterfalls. After aborting a hike in the Gold Lakes area because of high water and snow, we first went to Loves Falls on the North Fork of the North Yuba River. The walk bridge over the falls is on the Pacific Crest Trail off of Hwy 48 near Sierra City. Then we went to Frazier Falls on Frazier Creek upstream of Graeagle, California. Finally,  Webber Falls is on the Little Truckee River below Webber Lake near Perazzo Meadows (from CA Hwy 89 at Little Truckee Summit, take the paved USFS road to the pull-off just past  the Lake of the Woods road, then scramble down across the old Henness Pass Road and down to the river). Webber Falls and the surrounding land was purchased from private owners and added to the Tahoe National Forest in 2009.
