Nevada Rambler

Headed up to the Brainard Lake Recreation Area, north of Nederland, Colorado. The road was closed already at the winter trailhead. There was enough snow on the trails through the woods to be slow in boots, but not deep or uniform enough to make showshoes worthwhile. So I ended up walking mostly on the roads to Red Rock Lake, Brainard Lake, and Long Lake (above).
