Peavine on Fire
A brush fire on Peavine Peak started on Friday 8/11/2006 in Verdi and burned 10 square miles of open land. This panorama (click on the photo to enlarge) was taken on the morning of 8/12/2006 from I-80 west of Reno, as we were escaping to the mountains. The fire was mostly contained by Sunday.
